Directions for use:
It is designed to constitute 100% of the parrot’s diet. However, if fresh fruit and vegetables are provided daily to lend variety to the diet, we recommend that Psittacus should constitute no less than 70-80% of the total intake. No vitamin or mineral supplements should be given to parrots whose basic principal food is Psittacus. In the case of reiterated and/or numerous lays, we suggest to give access to our Psittacus Calcium Grit Coarse as a calcium source of voluntary intake. It is appropriate to renew food and water daily. Store in a cool dry place after opening inside a closed container.
Daily intake:
Birds consumption varies between 5% and 8% of body weight. Medium-sized species (for example, African Grey parrots) consume around 25-40g per day.
